Ich habe mir das Buch gekauft, weil ich gerne über die Siedlerzeit im Amerika um die 19.Jahrhundert lese.Da sind Autoren wie Linda Ford, Cathy Marie Hake Judith MIller die ich schon kannte.Cathy Marie Hake auch in deutschen Übersetzungen gut bekannt.Was mir auch sehr gefallen ist dass der Glaube so grosse Rolle spielte, es gab immer beständiges Gottvertrauen.Es gab aber auch traurige Momente, Verzagtheit , Verzweiflung , aber ich hatte das Gefühl irgendwie die Hoffnung trägt durch.Die menschliche Beziehungen waren so vielfältig von guten erfahrenen Autoren in ihren Romanzen geschildert. Die Liebe hatte immer sehr grosse Stellenwert .Sie war immer da:Die beständige Liebe zum Land , das der Farmer bearbeiten musste, die Ernte musste eingefahren werden, , und natürlich die Liebe in der Familie.Es mussten auch Ehen geschlossen werden um zu überleben auf der Prairie, aber die Liebe spielte immer wieder eine wichtige Rolle!Hier waren ja auch "Romanzen"...Meine Lieblingsgeschichte ist von Linda Goodnight:"The Barefoot Bride".Ich habe noch nie so eine schöne "Romanze" gelesen.Sie ist relativ kurz aber ausdruckstark, ich habe gespürt wie wichtig der Glaube ist , wie alles gut werden kann wenn auch alles ertmal aussichtslos wirkt.Ich habe gestaunt wie einer starke Glaube durchträgt und heilt! Wie Emma Russel , die Witwe alles verliert und dann doch schafft ein neues Leben zu beginnen.Diese Geschichte ist heilsam, hoffnungstragend und mir ist sie sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Sie ist wunderbar geschrieben, Linda Goodnight hat für mich ein schönes Englisch, feinen Schreibstil, ich habe viel Freude daran gehabt.Bei der Anthologie ist so schön, man kann das aussuchen was man lesen möchte, es ist eine gute Ausgabe, prima.

I asked my wife to give me the book for Christmas and read it on boxing day. All in all it is written nicely with a lot of new information and twists in history. Obviously it was hard to fill a full book with Tupaias stories as he was not to well looked upon by Cook (for whatever reason) and thus he does not appear in his diary too often, but I found the author felt too often compelled to add his name to situations where there was obviously no direct connection to him whatsoever. Also apparently New Zealanders of today feel they have to view Cook's endeavors with quite some criticism and I could feel that in the book at places where I don't think it was necessary.I don't mind opinionated texts, but for this story I thought there was too much in it and in the end it tainted the read unnecessarily.

Jonathan Gennick is an O'Reilly & Associates editor specializing in database and programming titles. Prior to joining O'Reilly, Jonathan amassed some 17 years of programming and database management experience. During the latter part of his career he specialized in relational database programming, and more recently in database management. Jonathan got his start with relational database systems in 1990, first working with Ingres, and later with Digital's Rdb software. During that period he developed a fondness for SQL, and for the challenge of applying SQL creatively in ways that leveraged it's set-oriented capabilities. In 1994 Jonathan made the leap to Oracle, and is now often found writing about it. Recent projects include Oracle SQLLoader (O'Reilly & Associates, 2001); Oracle SQLPlus Pocket Reference (O'Reilly & Associates, 2000); Oracle SQL*Plus: The Definitive Guide (O'Reilly & Associates, 1999); More recently, Jonathan has made forays into other database products, coauthoring Transact-SQL Cookbook (O'Reilly & Associates, 2002) and editing Practical PostgreSQL (O'Reilly & Associates, 2002). Jonathan is certified as an Oracle DBA and is a member of MENSA and the Oracle Technology Network. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information and Computer Science, with a Business Administration minor, from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Kurz und knapp formuliert: Es ist super für den Schreibtisch um fix was nachzuschlagen, gerade wenn man mit verschiedenen Systemen arbeitet, da die selben Funktionen direkt hintereinander für die unterschiedlichen Systeme beschrieben werden.Einziger Nachteil am Buch: Es ist eine recht alte Version, da hier z.B. noch der MS-SQL Server 2005 aktuell ist.

Und das als Wirtschaftsrecht Student. Ein Link für die DB , in der alles demonstriert wird, etwa wie auf W3Schools wäre hilfreicher gewesen. Deshalb ein Stern Abzug (für das Produkt).

Die wichtigsten Befehle übersichtlich zusammengefasst und Unterschiede verschiedener Systeme herausgearbeitet.Es handelt sich keinesfalls um eine Anleitung oder ein Tutorial, sondern lediglich um ein Nachschlagewerk! Diese Aufgabe erfüllt es aber voll und ganz.

Nach langer Nichtanwendung der Kenntnisse hilft dieses Buch sehr gut um wieder hinein zu kommen. Ich konnte dadurch im Selbststudium wieder sehr gut meine Kenntnisse auffrischen!

Der Name des Buchs passt perfekt - kurz & gut SQL-Befehle nachschlagen - das Buch ist übersichtlich aufgebaut. auch für den Einstieg ins Thema sehr zu empfehlen!

Kleines übersichtliches Handbuch, wie der Name verrät "Kurz & Gut", kompakt zum Nachschlagen hervorragend geeignet.Prägnante Gliederung, kurze logische Gliederung und effiziente Beschreibung des Inhaltes.Nix für Einsteiger.

Dieses Buch erklärt in guten Beispielen was alles beachtet werden muss. Dementsprechend kann ich dieses Buch nur weiterempfehlen. Zudem stimmt hier das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis

Der Inhalt ist für den Preis in Ordnung, aber wenn man das Buch öfters benutzt fallen die Seiten aus - schade.

aber dadurch an vielen Stellen (grad Band 6) sehr schwer zu lesen und zu verstehen. Es ist einem trotzdem klar um was er sich Gedanken gemacht hat und man hätte es sicher auch deutlich einfachen erklären können aber so sei es nun. Bin trotzdem sehr zufrieden und konnte seinen Gedanken viel entnehmen. Ich freue mich nun auch den 3. Sammelband, spirch Band 7 und 8 und erhoffe da sehr viele hilfreiche Details rund um den "privaten Trader" Jerome. Da ich genau wie er diesen Weg gehen möchte bzw. gerade dabei bin, erhoffe ich mir viele nützlich Tips und Gedankenanstöße. So wie ich den Michael Voigt nun in den Büchern kennen gelernt habe, wird es wohl sehr darauf hinauslaufen.Da nun Weihnachten unmittelbar bevor steht und dieser letzte Sammelband ein Geschenk wird bin ich froh, dass ich heute den zweiten Sammelband, also Band 4,5 und 6 nun fertig durchgelesen habe.Fazit: Kaufempfehlung!

Allzu oft scheint viel mehr die Diskrepanz zwischen der eigenen Erwartung an das Trading und diesem Buch, welches nichts als die Realität zeigt, bewertet zu werden.Nein, das Buch zeigt nicht, wie man innerhalb von Tagen, Wochen oder Monaten mit Trading reich wird. Aber es baut den Leser langfristig auf, damit dieser am Markt überleben kann. Dass es dabei nicht nur um Trends, Korrekturen und Pivot Punkte geht, müsste klar sein. Nicht umsonst besuch Philip einen Mönch...

Für echte Börsenhändler unbrauchbar. Auf extrem langatmige Art und Weise wird das 1-2-3 Wellenprinzip der Dow-Theorie propagiert. Diese Reihe wurde vorher im Campello Eigenverlag publiziert. Der Finanzbuchverlag muß es wirklich nötig haben, wenn er so etwas neu publiziert. Finger weg!
